WeChat Weekly Ranking- Destinations, Airlines and Cruises – Week 10-16 April

N.1 Tourism Authority of Thailand- Beijing Office: The top article is part of a series on Thailand’s Songkran  Water Festival and last week it featured the parties and concerts taking place during the holiday.

N. 2 Destination Canada: Canada’s top article looked at different activities available at the Niagara Falls. Each suggestion such as boat and helicopter rides were correlated by beautiful imagery.

N.3 Tourism Australia: The post about aerial photographs of Australia gained over 23,000 page views, the highest of the week. WeChat fans were encouraged to vote for their favourite views by the chance to win a small prize.

N.4 Spain Tourism Board: For the first time since January this year, Spain has entered the top 4 NTO performers with the second best article of the week, which introduced Spain’s unique food, architecture and festivals mainly through pictures and very little text.

DMOs: 
N.1 Hong Kong Tourism Board: The article on sales promotions in various shopping malls around the city gained over 6,000 page views and was the best performing article among the DMOs.
N.2 Macao Government Tourism Office: Bus sightseeing tours around Macau.
N.3 Dubai Government of Tourism & Commerce Marketing: Fun activities for the Labour Day holiday.

Airlines 
N.1 Air Asia: The article about 50% off tickets was the most popular of the week.
N.2 United Airlines: United Airlines’ CEO published two messages apologizing for the recent overbooking incident, gaining a combined 120,000 page views and 1,700 likes. United Airlines’ WeChat account does not allow readers to post comments.
N.3 Cathay Pacific: Discount vouchers for Hong Kong airport.

Cruise Lines: 
N.1 Royal Caribbean International: Summer time promotions for families.
N.2 Royal Caribbean International Deals: Internet stars (Wanghong)’s big contest.
N.3 Princess Cruises: Cruises to Alaska.
